Terrible Technicality
During intermission at a recent game, the USHL's Indiana Ice did one of those contests where a fan tries to score a length-of-the-ice goal for $50,000. One man, who said if he won would give the money to charity, succeeded, but was told him his goal didn't count because he was over some line and the insurance company who sponspored this challenge didn't pay out the prize. The Indiana Ice, however, did make a donation to charity.
Now We Know What 'CC' Stood For
Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia showed up to Yankees camp 25 pounds lighter yesterday. The secret to him shedding weight? He stopped eating Cap'n Crunch. The big lefty says he used to eat Cap'n Crunch every day -- a box at a time!
The Rock Returns
The Rock :: WWE
If you were a wrestling fan in the late '90s who doesn't follow the WWE as closely these days, you might want to start tuning back in. The Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment made his return last night when he was named guest host for WrestleMania XXVII on April 3 in Atlanta. The People's Champ worked the microphone for about 23 minutes last night, but if you just want the abridged version, check this out. If you really have a lot of time to kill at work, here is the full version broken into Part I and Part II.
'Court Intruder'
It's impossible to keep up with all the videos dedicated to BYU guard Jimmer Fredette. The latest one mashes up the nation's leading scorer with the man behind "Bed Intruder" fame, Antoine Dodson.
What Is 'Odd Game Show Tricks, Alex'?
Jeopardy! had a machine named Watson compete against Ken Jennings, who has the longest winning streak in the show's history, and another contestant last night. The game featured a few sports questions. Press Coverage has a report on how Watson fared.
