NCAA Football Power Rankings
21Missouri Tigers
Last Week: 21
The whole Big 12-school-plays-at-a-mid-major-on-Friday-night thing was a disaster for Colorado, but it should go better for the Tigers. Missouri is playing this game for the sole purpose of appearing on national television. The Tigers can raise their national profile by winning decisively.
Last game: Beat Furman, 52-12
Next game: Friday at Nevada

22Michigan Wolverines
Last Week: 24
Three weeks ago, a lot of people were writing off Rich Rodriguez's tenure at Michigan as a failure. Now, a better question is whether the Wolverines will be undefeated heading into their matchup with Penn State on Oct. 24.
Last game: Beat Eastern Michigan, 45-17
Next game: Saturday vs. Indiana

23Georgia Bulldogs
Last Week: --
The Bulldogs need to introduce the offense from the past two weeks to the defense from the opener against Oklahoma State. If those two units ever show up for the same game, Georgia might rocket up these rankings.
Last game: Beat Arkansas, 52-41
Next game: Saturday vs. Arizona State

24North Carolina Tar Heels
Last Week: --
Georgia Tech is going to be dangerous nine days after getting crushed in Miami. Meanwhile, the Tar Heels can't afford to lose conference games with the Hurricanes and Hokies in their division.
Last game: Beat East Carolina, 31-17
Next game: Saturday at Georgia Tech

25Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Last Week: 25
Fighting Irish coach Charlie Weis said freshman receiver Shaq Evans will play more now that a broken collarbone has ended Michael Floyd's regular season. Until Evans proves himself a threat, defenses will swarm Golden Tate. If Notre Dame allows that to happen, its offense is in trouble. If Evans draws some of that attention, the offense should keep rolling.
Last game: Beat Michigan State, 33-30
Next game: Saturday at Purdue

Next five: Washington, Kansas, UCLA, Auburn, Southern Miss
