Lewis served as a volunteer coach with the team last season and will join the staff on a full-time basis this year.

Former Giants RB David Wilson to compete in track and field

Lewis won Olympic medals in the 100 meters, 200 meters, 4x100-meter relay and the long jump. He will coach Houston in sprints and jumps.

Lewis, 53, competed collegiately for Houston. Current Houston head coach Leroy Burrell was Lewis' teammate with the Cougars and the Olympic team.
