Accused Boston Marathon bombers' sister pleads not guilty to bomb threat

The sister of the accused Boston Marathon bombers pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor counts of aggravated harassment, Reuters reports.

Authorities say 24-year-old Ailina Tsarnaeva, the sister of Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, made a threatening phone call to a woman, telling her she could "put a bomb where you live."

Tsarnaeva faces up to a year in jail if convicted of the charges. She was ordered to stay away from the victim as a condition of her $5,000 bail. Her lawyer denies the charges. 

According to a criminal complaint, Tsarnaeva called a woman in Harlem, telling her, "Leave my man alone. Stop looking at him. I know people that can put a bomb where you live.”

Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev are accused of killing three people and wounding more than 260 near the finish line of the 2013 Boston Marathon after detonating homemade bombs made of pressure cookers.

Tamerlan Tsarnaev was killed following a shoot-out with police, and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was captured after a manhunt in the days after the bombing. He could face the death penalty if convicted in a trial that is set to start in January.
