WWE Hall of Famer Tito Santana was featured in a “Where Are They Now?” segment for SI Now on Thursday.
SI Now host Maggie Gray asked Santana about his retirement status, and the 62-year-old wrestler confirmed that he has not officially retired and explained why.
“I still try to stay in pretty good shape, I enjoy getting in the ring,” he said. “As a matter of a fact, my wife asks me from time to time, ‘How much longer do you plan to do this?’ I tell her, as long as the fans don't start hollering ‘Get out of the ring you old fart!’ I'm going to continue to do it because I really enjoy it. It doesn't get old when you step into the ring and you hear the fans let you know how much they appreciate you.”
Santana, who was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004, also talked to SI Now about his current job as a middle school Spanish teacher, his career, WrestleMania and the progress wrestling as a whole has made over his life. You can watch the full clip above.
