The Dallas Mavericks finished 49-33 last season and gave the eventual champion San Antonio Spurs their toughest battle in the playoffs, taking the Spurs to seven games in the first round.

It's been an active offseason for the Mavericks, as they've traded for former Knicks star Tyson Chandler, re-signed Dirk Nowitzki to a three-year contract and have pursued several free agents, including Carmelo Anthony.
