Bulls nearing deal with Spanish forward Mirotic. Comcast SportsNet Chicago“Although the Bulls have also expressed varying degrees of interest to other free agents, from Houston small forward Chandler Parsons, who Wednesday night agreed to a reported three-year, $45-million offer sheet with Dallas, to Washington’s Trevor Ariza, a more likely new addition is 2011 first-round draft pick Nikola Mirotic. According to a league source, a deal with the 23-year-old Spanish forward is “almost done” and because Mirotic’s $3-million buyout to Spain’s Real Madrid (of which the Bulls can contribute $600,000) can be paid over time, his annual salary might not significantly affect the franchise’s salary cap.”

Report: James wanted agent Paul to speak with Cavaliers. USA Today Sports“As James well knows, that old Cleveland wound will be reopened if he sticks with the Heat. Although he can't control the endless speculation, he has controlled this process in ways that should not be overlooked. His agent, Rich Paul, included the Cavaliers among the five teams with which he spoke because that was what James wanted.”

Report: Ainge knows it will take more than Rondo to attract Love. Boston Herald“Sources say he believes Boston is a place Love wants to play, but he knows that it will take more than the presence of Rajon Rondo to attract him. So he is continuing to find ways to gather players and picks that could set up larger moves to either get an All-Star or fetch the talent to support him.”

Report: no contact between Cleveland, Allen. Basketball Insiders“There have been several reports that after obtaining James, the Cavs would shift attentions to obtaining Kevin Love from Minnesota. However, when that story first broke on a Cleveland radio station a high ranking Cavs official labeled that concept as “nonsense”. To be fair to the source, the comment was in response to the characterization on the radio that the Cavs had a deal done.”

Report: Bulls pursuing sign-and-trade for Gasol involving Boozer. Chicago Tribune“Though the Bulls had yet to be told officially they're out of the Anthony sweepstakes, the New York Daily News reported Anthony will make his Knicks' announcement Thursday. That would intensify the Bulls' pursuit of Gasol, and league sources indicated the Bulls hope to pursue sign-and-trade options with the Lakers for him involving Carlos Boozer's expiring salary.”

Report: Bulls, Lakers, Thunder leading for Gasol

Report: Lin trade involving Sixers may not work; Houston has other options. Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia“However, an NBA source said the Sixers "remain an option [for Houston], but their cap space may prove too expensive." The source also said they believe the Rockets have other options when it comes to moving Lin.”

Report: If James leaves Miami, Bosh will sign with Houston. ESPN“If James does choose to leave the Heat, free agent Chris Bosh will sign with the Houston Rockets, sources said. James not rushing to make a choice could put a time squeeze on Bosh. Though he hopes to remain with the Heat along with James, sources said, Bosh has secured a backup offer for four years and $88 million from the Rockets.”

Report: Rockets have Lin Deal with 76ers ready if LeBron picks Cleveland, Bosh goes to Houston. New York Daily News“The deal hinges on whether LeBron James goes to Cleveland. If he returns to the Cavs, then Bosh is almost guaranteed to also leave Miami and head to Houston. To give Bosh a four-year, $88 million deal, the Rockets have to create cap space and can do that by trading Lin, the ex-Knick who will make almost $15 million next season.”

Report: Wiggins' reps told he would not be traded in deal for Love. USA Today Sports“Yet because the Timberwolves are known to be insisting that No. 1 overall draft pick Andrew Wiggins would be part of any such scenario, a deal — at least in the two-team form — appears unlikely. A person with knowledge of Wiggins' situation said that his representatives were told Wednesday that he would not be traded. The people spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitive nature of trade talks.”
