The Grizzlies have signed free agent swingman Vince Carter to a three-year, $12 million deal, according to Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski on Friday night.
The Mavericks were also reportedly interested in keeping Carter.
The 37-year-old averaged 11.9 points and 3.5 rebounds in 81 games last season for Dallas, all off the bench. The 1999 Rookie of the Year is an eight-time All-Star and a 16-year veteran of the Raptors, Nets, Magic, Suns and Mavericks.
