The 33-year-old scored 9.1 points in 73 regular-season games last season (61 starts) for Chicago, shooting 39.3 percent from the field and 35.1 percent from three-point range. He scored 11.0 points in the Bulls' five-game loss to the Wizards in the first round of the playoffs.

The 11th-year man out of Kansas is in his second stint with the Bulls. He played his first seven years with them before stints with the Wizards and Hawks, but returned to Chicago for the 2012-13 season.

Hinrich will be the back up at point guard with the return of Derrick Rose.
