The Chicago Bulls are nearing a deal with free-agent point guard Aaron Brooksaccording to Marc Stein of ESPN.com.

He shot 38.7 percent from three-point range for the season.

A first-round pick out of Oregon in 2007, Brooks has played with four teams (Houston, Phoenix, Sacramento, Denver) over six seasons.

The Bulls, who last week agreed to re-sign guard Kirk Hinrich, won 48 games and earned the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference before falling to the Wizards in the first round of the playoffs.
