The Cleveland Cavaliers could sign Andrew Wiggins, the No. 1 pick in the 2014 draft, as soon as Wednesday, reports the Associated Press's Tom Withers.

A potential trade involving Wiggins could not consummated for 30 days after signing his rookie contract, according to rules in the NBA's Collective Bargaining Agreement.

The 19-year-old has been the subject of recent trade rumors involving Kevin Love, with a report surfacing last week that the Cavaliers would be willing to include Wiggins in a potential package for the Timberwolves' three-time All-Star power forward.

Addressing media after a team practice at summer league in Las Vegas, new Cleveland coach David Blatt said Wiggins is "not going anywhere, as far as I know and as far as the club has expressed."

The 6-foot-8, 194-pound forward scored 17.1 points and grabbed 5.9 rebounds per game in one season at Kansas. He posted averages of 15.5 points and 3.5 rebounds over four summer league games.
