Free agent Shawn Marion is visiting with the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, reports ESPN.com's Marc Stein. The Cavaliers are reportedly making a strong push to sign the veteran small forward, though they can only offer him the veteran's minimum.

Marion started 76 games for the Dallas Mavericks last season, averaging 10.4 points and 6.5 rebounds on 48.2 percent shooting.

At 6-foot-7, 220-pounds, Marion is a versatile defender who has made four All-Star teams and two All-NBA third teams over his 15-year career.

He earned four All-Star appearances during his tenure with the Phoenix Suns (1999-2008), and won a championship with Dallas in 2011.

Earlier this offseason, the Mavericks signed Chandler Parsons, who like Marion plays on the wing, to a three-year contract worth $45 million.

The Cavaliers reportedly have been discussing a trade with Minnesota for star power forward Kevin Love.
