Phoenix Suns point guard Isaiah Thomas underwent wrist surgery Thursday but is expected to be ready for the start of training camp, the team announced.

The Suns acquired Thomas in a sign-and-trade with Sacramento last month. As part of the deal, Thomas signed a contract worth $27 million over four years, according to reports. Thomas has said he felt "disrespected" by the way the Kings handled his free agency.
