The Timberwolves have set a record for ticket sales following their trade in August that sent franchise forward Kevin Love to the Cleveland Cavaliers, according to an Associated Press report from Jon Krawczynski.

The Timberwolves, who haven't made the postseason in a decade, sent Love to the Cavaliers in exchange for No. 1 overall pick Andrew Wiggins and last year's No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett. The 76ers, the third team in the trade, sent forward Thaddeus Young to the Wolves as well.

In the week since the trade was approved by the NBA, the Wolves have sold more than 300 full season-ticket packages, besting the previous record set in 2011 when Spanish league sensation Ricky Rubio announced he was going to play for the Wolves.
