Oklahoma City Thunder general manager Sam Presti told reporters Thursday that starting center Kendrick Perkins has a strained quad and will miss some of training camp, according to ESPN's Royce Young

Perkins will be reevaluated in two weeks.

The 29-year-old has spent the last three and a half seasons with the Thunder. He averaged 3.4 points and 4.9 rebounds last season in 62 games. 

Perkins is entering the last season of his contract and is due to make $9.4 million in 2014-15, according to CBSSports

Thunder training camp begins next week. Their first preseason game is on Oct. 8 in Denver.
