Los Angeles Lakers coach Byron Scott said Friday that the team will probably have to "look for" another point guard, according to Bill Oram of the Orange County Register.

The Lakers announced Thursday that veteran Steve Nash will miss the upcoming season because of a back injury. The 40-year-old is reportedly dealing with nerve damage.

This offseason Los Angeles added veteran Ronnie Price, acquired Jeremy Lin in a trade with the Houston Rockets and selected Missouri product Jordan Clarkson in the second round of this year's draft.

The Lakers, who finished 27-55 in 2013-14, open the upcoming season Oct. 28 against the Rockets.
