Defending NBA champions will play home games on Christmas Day, according to Howard Beck of Bleacher Report.
The Heat were not pleased they had to travel to Los Angeles on Christmas last season, Beck says, leading commissioner Adam Silver to institute the new policy.
The NBA has long scheduled marquee games for Christmas Day. This season, LeBron James will return to Miami for the first time since re-joining the Cavaliers this summer. The defending champion Spurs will play the Thunder at home in a rematch of last season's Western Conference finals.
