New Orleans Pelicans guard Eric Gordon is out indefinitely after tearing the labrum in his left shoulder, the team announced Monday.

Gordon hurt his shoulder in the second quarter of Saturday's 106-94 victory over the Utah Jazz after colliding with Jazz guard Trey Burke.

The team said an MRI revealed that Gordon suffered a torn labrum as a result of the left shoulder subluxation injury in the game. Gordon will be further evaluated this week by the team's medical staff, which will determine his next steps in rehabilitation.

Gordon, 25, is in his fourth season with the Pelicans after spending the first three seasons of his career with the Los Angeles Clippers.

Gordon is averaging 9.5 points, 2.3 points and two assists in 12 games for New Orleans (7-5) this season.
