Celtics agree to trade point guard Rajon Rondo to the Mavericks

The Boston Celtics and Dallas Mavericks have agreed to the framework of a deal that will send All-Star guard Rajon Rondo to the Mavericks, a league source told SI.com. Dallas will send Jameer Nelson, Brandon Wright, Jae Crowder and a 2015 first round pick to Boston.

Dallas will send Jameer Nelson, Brandon Wright, Jae Crowder and a 2015 first round pick to Boston, an NBA source told SI.com.

In addition to Rondo, Boston will send reserve forward Dwight Powell to Dallas.

Rondo, 28, is averaging 8.3 points, 10.8 assists and 7.5 rebounds this season.
