NBA Power Rankings: Knicks sink to the bottom
Tuesday December 23rd, 2014

The NBA has fined New York Knicks center Samuel Dalembert $15,000, according to ESPN.com.

Dalembert incurred the fine for elbowing Toronto Raptors center Jonas Valanciunas in the teams' game Sunday.

One minute into the third quarter, the two began battling for position in the post, and Valanciunas extended his forearm into Dalembert's chest. Dalembert responded by jabbing his elbow into Valanciunas' face.

Dalembert received a flagrant-2 foul and was ejected from the game. The Raptors went on to win 118-108.

Dalembert, 33, was acquired by the Knicks in the offseason trade that sent center Tyson Chandler to the Dallas Mavericks. He's started 20 of New York's 30 games this season and has averaged 3.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.

The Knicks are 5-25 after losing to Toronto and are in fourth place in the Atlantic Division.
