The Los Angeles Lakersannounced Sunday that forward Julius Randle will undergo surgery on Tuesday to replace the screw in the fifth metatarsal of his right foot.

Randle originally had the screw placed in his foot when he fractured it as a senior in high school.

The rookie was already out for the season after fracturing his tibia in his first NBA game. Randle had surgery to repair the injury the next day.

Randle was selected by the Lakers with the No. 7 pick in this year's NBA draft after one year at Kentucky. He averaged 15 points and 10.4 rebounds per game in his lone season for the Wildcats.
