Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawsondid not play in Friday night's game against the Milwaukee Bucks after missing practice earlier in the week.

Nuggets coach Brian Shaw reportedly said Lawson would be a "healthy scratch" for the game.

Lawson was not at practice on Wednesday after missing a plane flight. He returned to practice on Thursday.

"I told him what happened, and he's cool with it," Lawson said Thursday of Shaw, according to The Denver Post. "So we'll just keep moving forward and keep playing hard."

Shaw said on Thursday that "Internally, we'll decide what to do from there," according to the Post.

Over 51 games this season,Lawson has averaged a team-high 16.9 points and 10.1 assists in 37.0 minutes per game.

With Lawson not active, the Nuggets lost 89-81 the Bucks to drop their record to 20-34.

Denver plays at the Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday before hosting the Brooklyn Nets on Monday.
