Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside and Phoenix Suns center Alex Len have each been fined after their fight in Monday night's game, the NBA announced Tuesday

Len was fined $20,000 for initiating the altercation and Whiteside was fined $15,000 for "escalating the incident by wrestling Len to the floor."

[daily_cut.NBA]In the third quarter of Monday's game, Whiteside dunked on Len and made contact with Len as he let go of the rim. Len responded by shoving Whiteside to the ground and Whiteside lunged and Len's knees and tackled him. Both players were ejected.

"I regret doing that," Whiteside said, according to the Sun Sentinel. "That was the first time. Violence is not the answer. That's what it was."

Suns forward Markieff Morris was also fined $15,000 for a flagrant foul on Miami's Goran Dragic earlier in the third quarter, the NBA announced.
