Los Angeles Clippers forward Blake Griffin is expected to return on Sunday or Tuesday, reports ESPN.com's Arash Markazi.

Griffin has missed the last 15 games after having surgery to treat a staph infection in his right elbow. The four-year veteran last played Feb. 6, and also missed the All-Star Game. The Clippers went 9-6 in his absence and entered Saturday fifth in the Western Conference at 42-24.

Warriors' Steph Curry: I don't feel like I need rest

[daily_cut.nba]Griffin had a full workout on Friday and could return for Sunday's game against the Houston Rockets, reports Markazi, unless the Clippers want to see him go through a full practice and shootaround. In that event, he'd play Tuesday against the Charlotte Hornets.

Head coach Doc Rivers told the Clippers' website that Griffin "went very hard" during his Friday workout:

“He texted me during [Friday's] game. I should’ve texted him during the game myself,” Rivers joked after the loss to the Mavericks. “I just saw it just now, that’s why I know, and he feels good. I don’t know if he’s playing [Sunday], but he said he felt great.”
