Hawks beat Heat, clinch Eastern Conference's top playoff seed
The Hawks clinched the number one seed with help from an unlikely source: the Brooklyn Nets, who upended Cleveland to send the Cavaliers to a 47-27 record and make the evening sour for LeBron James-led teams past and present.
[daily_cut.NBA] Atlanta also received 21 points from Paul Millsap and 15 from Al Horford. Jeff Teague sat out his seventh game of the season nursing an ankle injury. He is listed as questionable for the team's upcoming game against Charlotte.
Dwyane Wade, who missed the Heat's previous game with a swollen knee, scored 13 points. Miami currently sits in seventh place in the Eastern Conference.
Atlanta, 55-17, will play the Hornets in Charlotte on Sunday with just nine regular season games remaining.
