TMZ video appears to show Thabo Sefolosha arrest
Friday April 10th, 2015

TMZ obtained video it says shows the arrest of Atlanta Hawks forward Thabo Sefolosha, who was arrested along with teammate Pero Antic outside a New York City nightclub early Wednesday morning.

Indiana Pacers forward Chris Copeland and a female companion were stabbed in the incident, and Sefolosha and Antic were arrested and charged with obstructing governmental administration for refusing to clear the area of the crime scene.

Sefolosha was also charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, and it was later confirmed that Sefolosha fractured his fibula during the incident. He will miss the remainder of the season, including the playoffs for the top-seed Hawks.

The video of Sefolosha's arrest is below.

On Wednesday, Hawks coach Mike Budenholzer addressed his players' involvement in the incident, calling the events of the night "unfortunate."

[daily_cut.NBA]"We will continue to look into the facts of the incident but with the information and foundation that we currently have established, we will support them through this process," Budenholzer said. "Otherwise it is a continuing legal matter and I will have no further comment."

Budenholzer then addressed Sefolosha's injury on Thursday with a statement:

"This is a very difficult situation for Thabo and our thoughts and support will be with him during his recovery. We know that his approach and dedication will serve him well in his rehabilitation. Our team remains focused and will be prepared as we head into the postseason."

Over 52 games this season, Sefolosha has averaged 5.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 18.8 minutes per game.
