Miami Heat forward Chris Bosh said on Thursday that he has begun lifting and running but that he remains on bloodthinners.

Bosh also said that he has not shot a basketball since the All-Star game but that he plans to do so this summer.

In February, the Heat announced that Bosh would miss the remainder of the season while undergoing treatment for blood clots on his lung.

Bosh was released from the hospital later that month.

Over 44 games this season, Bosh averaged 21.1 points, seven rebounds and 2.2 assists in 35.4 minutes per game.

The 31-year-old played in his 10th consecutive All-Star game earlier this season.

This summer, Bosh re-signed with Miami on a deal worth $118 million over five years.
