One-third of those polled think Jordan could beat LeBron now in one-on-one

Thirty-four percent of NBA fans polled believe Michael Jordan could beat LeBron James in one-on-one in the year 2015.

According to a Public Policy Polling survey, 34% of NBA fans polled believe Michael Jordan could beat LeBron James in one-on-one in the year 2015.

PPP surveyed 1,471 registered voters from May 7-10. Of those, 37% said they consider themselves to be an NBA fan. Only those who said they were an NBA fan were asked the question about Jordan and James. 

Fifty-four percent said they think James would win, while 12% were not sure. The NBA fans were also asked whether they feel Jordan or James is the best basketball player of all time. Seventy-seven percent said Jordan, 14% said James and 9% were not sure. 

A higher percentage of the 1,471 people polled said they consider themselves fans of MLB and the NFL, with 46% saying yes to MLB and 56% saying yes to the NFL. 22% consider themselves boxing fans, and 22% NHL fans.

A look at pop culture when NBA's remaining playoff teams last won title

The NBA fans were asked who they would most like to see win this year's NBA title out of the remaining teams, and the Golden State Warriors came out on top with 19%. The Chicago Bulls were next at 17%.
