Cavaliers forward LeBron James said on Friday that it's impossible to stop Warriors point guard Stephen Curry.

The two teams will meet in the finals after Cleveland beat the Atlanta Hawks in the Eastern Conference finals and Golden State beat the Houston Rockets in the Western Conference finals.

On Friday, James was asked how Curry can be slowed down.

"The same way you slow me down ... You can't," James said, according to ESPN's Dave McMenamin.

Curry was named the league's Most Valuable Player after averaging 23.8 points and 7.7 assists per game while shooting 44.3 percent from three-point range.

The 27-year-old led the Warriors to a 67-15 record in the regular season, the best in the NBA, and helped the team advance through three playoff series in 15 games.

James has won four MVP awards and finished third in this year's voting. He joined the Cavaliers this season after spending the previous four seasons with the Miami Heat.

Game 1 of the NBA Finals tips off at 9 p.m. ET next Thursday.
