ABC paid tribute to the late Stuart Scott at halftime of Game 1 of the NBA Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors.

Game 1 is being played exactly five months after Scott died at the age of 49 after a battle with cancer. He was a longtime SportsCenter anchor who was first diagnosed with the disease in 2007.

Sage Steele anchors the tribute segment, which includes narration about Scott's history with the NBA Finals from Michael Wilbon.

“Stuart we love you, we miss you, we know you're watching,” Steele says at the end of the piece.

Ernie Johnson gave his Sports Emmy to Stuart Scott's daughters
