The Sacramento Kings will not trade All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins, team vice president Vlade Divac told The Sacramento Bee

“That is not happening,” Divac said, “but I would love to do something, a smaller move, before the draft. We have a lot of changes to make. The league is much more up-tempo now, and we need more three-point shooting. If we don’t get that in the draft, we’ll be active in free agency and see about making trades later in the off-season.”

The Kings had been rumored to be interested in trading Cousins, with the Denver Nuggets and Boston Celticssaid to be possible suitors

Cousins, who turns 25 in August, has three years left on the max deal he signed in 2013.

Cousins had a career year this season, averaging 24.1 points, 12.7 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.7 blocks per game, all career highs.
