The Wizards, who played in Baltimore from 1963 to ’73 as the Bullets, will wear the uniforms for six games during the season. The uniforms pay homage to the team’s history as the Bullets with an updated color scheme to match the Wizards’ current red, white and blue.
Washington also plans to honor the franchise’s past with the addition of a display to the Verizon Center that will feature all of the uniforms in team history. The display will be available for public viewing beginning Oct. 6, the night of a preseason game against the 76ers.
The Wizards also announced they will once again wear their blue alternate uniforms for every road game played on a Wednesday, as well as for road games on March 25 against the Lakers, April 1 against the Suns and April 3 against the Clippers. At home, the Wizards will wear the blue uniforms on Jan. 3 against the Heat and on Feb. 28 against the Cavaliers.
