The NBA preseason is in full swing as we inch closer to the start of the regular season on Oct. 27. With just two weeks to go, teams are ramping up their preparations for the long haul ahead.

• Former NBA forward Lamar Odom was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel and is in critical condition at a nearby hospital, TMZ reported.

• Sacramento Kings point guard Rajon Rondo told Cowbell Kingdom that his relationship with head coach George Karl has “not been going too well.”

• The Los Angeles Lakers announced that Kobe Bryant suffered a lower leg contusion in their preseason game against the Kings on Tuesday night.

• Chicago Bulls head coach Fred Hoiberg told reporters that it is doubtful that point guard Derrick Rose will play in their season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Rose sustained a broken orbital bone at practice on Sept. 29 and underwent surgery.

Warriors forward Harrison Barnes sustained a right knee sprain in Golden State’s preseason loss to the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday night, reports Diamond Leung of the San Jose Mercury News.

• The Washington Wizards announced that guard Alan Anderson had successful ankle surgery, but there is no timetable for his return.

• Milwaukee Bucks head coach Jason Kidd said the team stills views second-year forward Jabari Parker as a rookie, reports Dave McMenamin of ESPN. Parker played in just 18 games last season before tearing his ACL.
