Philadelphia 76ers small forward Robert Covington is expected to miss two weeks with a sprained MCL and bone bruise in his right knee, reports Yahoo! Sports’s Shams Charania.

Covington sustained the injury in the fourth quarter of the 76ers’ final preseason game, an 81–65 loss to the Boston Celtics. Covington landed awkwardly after a missed layup and was helped off the court by teammates.

Covington, 24, is entering his second season with Philadelphia. In 2014–15, he averaged 13.5 points, 1.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds per game. His 167 made three-pointers were the 10th-most in the NBA.

The 76ers have finished last in the Eastern Conference each of the last two seasons, winning a combined 37 games. Philadelphia opens the regular season Oct. 28 against Boston.
