Lamar Odom was 2015’s top Google search topic worldwide

After his near-fatal overdose at a Nevada brothel, Google users worldwide searched for Lamar Odommore than any other topic in 2015. 

In addition to his basketball career, Odom is well-known for his marriage to Khloe Kardashian and his involvement in the Keeping Up With the Kardashians television show. 

Odom was found unconscious in his room at the brothel on Oct. 13, reportedly after using cocaine and an herbal sexual enhancer. He was said to have suffered multiple strokes and was in a coma for several days.

The second-most popular search topic was Charlie Hebdo, the French satirical magazine that was attacked by two gunmen in January.
