Report: Pelicans’ Tyreke Evans (knee surgery) out for season
New Orleans Pelicans guard Tyreke Evans will likely miss the remainder of the regular season after undergoing surgery on his right knee, reports Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports.
Evans has not appeared in a game since Jan. 25 as he has nursed his injury. After the team announced Sunday that Evans would remain out through the All-Star break, league sources told Charania that Evans would require evaluation by specialists to determine what type of surgery he needs.
Evans recently began feeling pain in his right knee, the same knee he had arthroscopic surgery on in October. He will join Quincy Pondexter and Eric Gordon as Pelicans who have been knocked out for significant time this season with injuries. New Orleans’ star power forward Anthony Davis has also missed time with injuries.

Evans is averaging 15.2 points, 6.6 assists and 5.2 rebounds per game in 25 games this season, his third in New Orleans.
In 12th place in the Western Conference, the Pelicans (19–32) will play the Utah Jazz on Wednesday at 8 p.m. ET.
