In the first year of the NBA’s new Skills Challenge, which features four forwards and four guards, Timberwolves forward Karl-Anthony Towns defeated Celtics guard Isaiah Thomas in a thrilling final.

Towns and Thomas went toe-to-toe in a three-point shootout at the end of their matchup in the final, and the rookie from Kentucky came away the winner.

“This is for all the bigs out there,” Towns said afterward. “With the game changing the way it is, to show that bigs can stand up with guards and skill-wise.”

Towns advanced past Draymond Green and DeMarcus Cousins to reach the final.

Afterward, all of the bigs mobbed Towns.
