Give and Go: Biggest storylines of NBA's second half
Thursday February 18th, 2016

The Miami Heat are trading guard Brian Roberts and a second-round pick to the Portland Trail Blazers, reports The Vertical’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

The Heat acquired Roberts in a three-team trade that sent away Chris Andersen on Tuesday. The Heat also traded Jarnell Stokes to the Pelicans earlier Thursday.

The Roberts trade moves the Heat under the NBA’s luxury-tax threshold, saving them $6 million, reports Wojnarowski. The Blazers have made multiple deadline moves of their own, stockpiling draft picks in exchange for absorbing unwanted contracts into their cap space.

QUIZ: Insanely difficult NBA trade trivia

Roberts, in his fourth season out of Dayton, is averaging 4.8 points and 1.3 assists per game so far this season.
