Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum teased Rockets center Dwight Howard about being unable to catch a pass without using the substance Stickum on his hands during Houston’s loss to the Thunder on Tuesday night.

With 11 seconds left, James Harden threw a pass to Howard. If Howard had caught it, he could have made an easy shot to tie the game. Instead, the ball slipped out of Howard’s grasp, was retrieved by Russell Westbrook, and the Rockets lost the game, 111–107.

After the play, McCollum tweeted the suggestion that Howard could have caught the pass if he had been using Stickum, the illegal substance Howard was caught applying to his hands during Houston’s loss to the Hawks over the weekend.

Howard was not fined for his admitted use of the substance, but the NBA issued a league-wide memo informing teams that the Rockets had been officially warned for allowing players to apply the sticky substance to their hands.
