Kicks and Colors: Damian Lillard playoff shoe salutes draft suit

Story: Damian Lillard wore a three-piece suit the night he was drafted by the Portland Trail blazers. And with the Blazers back in the playoffs, Adidas has dressed up his D Lillard 2 signature with a touch of that nostalgia, offering a heather gray upper, leather detailing, an ice blue outsole, red accents and touches of gold in the Stay Ready edition, which releases April 15.
The design was meant to serve as “a tribute to the hours of hard work, focus and training Dame has put in to elevate his team since day one.” This playoff-ready sneaker for Portland’s star also ups the cushioning for Lillard, giving him Boost, a feature not previously found in his signature. Lillard is all dressed up and we’ll see if he has another round to go.
