Warriors forward Draymond Green, who received an automatic suspension on Sunday after the league ruled that he committed a Flagrant 1 foul in Game 4, his fourth flagrant point this postseason, will not be attending Game 5 despite his best efforts.

ESPN’s Marc Spears reports that Green will watch the game from a suite at the next door O.co Coliseum during Monday night’s A’s game.

According to The Vertical’s Shams Charania, Green was on the phone Sunday, trying to convince league officials to allow him to attend the game, even though his suspension bars him from entering the arena. League rules state that Green would receive a $2,000 fine for showing up to Oracle Arena on Monday.

While Green viewing the game in person won’t happen, CBS Sports’ Ken Berger reports that the NBA will not force him to miss the team’s postgame celebration, should the Warriors win the series.

Green was assessed a Flagrant 1 foul for swinging at James’s groin during a dustup. Because this was his fourth flagrant foul point of the postseason, he was slapped with an automatic one-game suspension.

The Warriors lead the NBA Finals, 3–1, with the series heading to Oakland, Calif. on Monday.
