The Portland Trail Blazers met with Mavericks free agent forward Chandler Parsons as free agency opened on Friday and made him a max contract offer, Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical reports.

Parsons will meet with the Memphis Grizzlies later on Friday, ESPN’s Marc Stein reports.

Earlier Friday, ESPN reported that there was “no chance” of Parsons returning to the Mavericks.

Parsons, 27, averaged 13.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in 61 games with Dallas last season.
