Hassan Whiteside and the Heat have agreed to a deal that will keep the free agent center with Miami, Whiteside announced on The Players’ Tribune.

The Associate Press reports Whiteside and the team agreed on a four-year max deal that would be worth around $98 million.

The 27-year-old met with both the Heat and Mavericks in New York City on Friday, with several reports indicating that Dallas was the frontrunner before the decision was announced.

Whiteside was drafted by the Kings in 2010 but received little playing time in his two years with the team before spending his next two season’s splitting time between the D-League and teams in China and Lebanon.

The seven-footer received another chance at the NBA with Miami, where he quickly made an impact. He posted a franchise-record 12 blocks in a January 2015 game against the Bulls, and he led the league in blocks last season.
