Report: Mike Conley agrees to max contract with Grizzlies

Free agent point guard Mike Conley has agreed to a max contract to remain with the Memphis Grizzlies, ESPN’s Marc Stein reports.
The Grizzlies’ offer consists of the full five years and $153 million. Conley has played his entire nine-year career with Memphis, and will sign the richest contract in NBA history once the free agent moratorium period ends July 7.
Free agent forward Chandler Parsons, who spent the last two seasons with Dallas, also agreed to a maximum contract with Memphis on Friday, agreeing to a deal worth $94 million over four years. The Mavericks reportedly met with Conley on Friday afternoon and pushed hard to try to sign him away from the Grizzlies. Conley and Parsons were reportedly communicating throughout the free agent process, and discussed teaming up in Memphis.

Conley has averaged 13.6 points, 5.6 assists and 2.9 rebounds per game over the course of his career. He was considered the best point guard on the market.
