Dallas Mavericks center Andrew Bogut has been included on Australia’s 12-man Olympic roster despite his continued recovery from a left knee injury, according to the Associated Press

Bogut suffered a bone bruise while playing for the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of the NBA Finals, and was forced to leave the loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The 31-year-old had previously said that playing in Rio was unlikely, but his coach, Andrej Lemanis, will allow Bogut to stay on the roster in the hopes he will be in shape before the games start.

Lemanis said that Bogut has until the eve of the Olympics to get ready to play.

Bogut has been in Australia working with the team this offseason.

He will be joined by a pair of NBA contributors in Matthew Dellavedova and Patty Mills if he can manage to get onto the court when the Olympics start on Aug. 5.
