Mark Cuban offers Donald Trump $10 million to let him interview him on policies
Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban has offered Donald Trump $10 million to the charity of his choice if the Republican presidential nominee will consent to being interviewed by Cuban on his policies.
Cuban, who has formally endorsed Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, sent a series of tweets to Trump on Friday outlining the parameters of the interview.
Cuban suggested he would interview Trump for four hours about the substance of the policies he will implement if he is elected president. Trump would not be allowed to mention Clinton or discuss her policies. He would only be permitted to discuss his own plans.
No other parties would be in the interview room besides Cuban, Trump and a broadcasting crew.
Cuban added he would allow Trump to keep the money for himself if he would rather not donate it to charity.
The interview request followed comments Trump made about Cuban earlier in the day on Fox Business Network's Mornings with Maria. Maria Bartiromo played a clip of Cuban saying, "In the event Donald wins, I have no doubt in my mind the market tanks," and she then asked for a response from Trump.
"Well, I know Mark and you know, the problem with Mark, he is not smart enough to understand what we are doing," Trump said.
Cuban fired back on Twitter, calling Trump's economic plan "jibberish" and suggesting he "must have flunked economics." Cuban followed up by proposing the interview on Trump's plan.
