DURHAM, N.C. (AP) -- Duke has announced that Ryan Kelly will be out 12 weeks after having surgery on his injured right foot.

The school said Kelly had the procedure Tuesday.

The Duke-issued timeline would keep the 6-foot-11 senior out until early July. The NBA draft is June 27.

Kelly missed 13 games after hurting the foot Jan. 8 against Clemson. He returned for the win over Miami on March 2 and helped lead the Blue Devils (30-6) to the Midwest Regional final.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski said in a statement issued by the school that Kelly "showed amazing courage'' in playing through the injury late the season. The coach says he expects Kelly to return to 100 percent health and pursue an NBA career.
