Utah Jazz forward Jeremy Evans put on a one-man, 34-second highlight reel during the second quarter of a preseason game against the Clippers in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
Evans' freaky length and leaping ability were called on multiple times during the sequence, which saw him fly out on a close-out to block a long jumper by Clippers big man Ronny Turiaf. From there, he was off to the races in transition, finishing the play by throwing down a brutal one-hand elevator dunk on Turiaf. But wait, there's more. Evans then retreated on defense, hustling to deflect a leak-out pass.
The energy, not to mention the highlight poster dunk, led all four of his Jazz teammates to come over and applaud him.
Evans, 24, is best known as the 2012 NBA Slam Dunk Contest champion. The stringy forward signed a three-year, $5.5 million contract over the summer.
