Hawks guard Jeff Teague spent his weekend making highlights, legal and otherwise.
On Sunday, the 6-foot-2 Teague beat Thunder All-Star guard Russell Westbrook off the dribble before launching into a one-hand posterization of Thunder All-Star forward Kevin Durant, who tried in vain to provide help from the weakside. Teague finished the play cleanly and gave Durant, who is usually on the other side of such highlights, a little stare before gesturing to the Hawks bench.
That wasn't his only high-rising play of the last few days.
On Friday night, Teague again attacked from the key before taking off in traffic, rising over and above Rockets forward Marcus Morris to dunk with authority. Teague jumped so high his knees hit Morris in the chest. Unfortunately for the Hawks, Teague was called for an offensive foul on the play and the dunk was waved off.
Have a look.
Teague, 24, averaged 14.0 points, 7.0 assists and 2.0 steals per game for the Hawks last season.
