Cavaliers center Anderson Varejao threw down a vicious dunk over Lakers forward Jordan Hill during the first quarter of a Tuesday night game at Quicken Loans Arena.

This is pretty and nasty all in one highlight. Varejao faces up on the left wing in isolation against Lakers center Dwight Howard. After a series of ball fakes and pumps Varejao gets Howard to leave his feet and immediately seizes the opportunity to drive right into the paint. One dribble and two gather steps gets Varejao to the protected circle, where Hill is waiting to provide help defense at the rim. Varejao simply raises up and over Hill to throw down a powerful one-hand dunk despite absorbing some fairly significant contact. Varejao, 30, is averaging 14.5 points, 15.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.5 steals per game this season.
